All our apartments are situated just 20 minutes drive from San Javier airport and 55 minutes from Alicante airport. They are within easy access of the shallow crystalline waters of the Mar Menor, the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean and the Calblanque National Park.

Portman is a small village with a history dating back two thousand years and was founded by the Romans as 'Portus Magnus', a busy mining town and harbour. Portman is now a quiet and peaceful Spanish town popular with locals and holiday makers. With its own small fishing harbour nearby, it nestles under the soaring hills of the Calblanque National Park on the Costa Calida Coastline.

The apartment has easy access to the village shops including several bars and restaurants, a supermarket, chemist, bank and health centre where you will find a friendly welcome from the locals. The world famous La Manga Club is just a five minute drive away.

If golfing is your game you will be spoilt for choice as there are 26 golf courses along the coast. There are International Sailing Clubs along the Mar Menor as well as scuba diving and other water sports. The more adventurous can take a two hour drive into the mountains for some fabulous skiing resorts.

The wonderful climate of the Costa Calida offers 320 days of sunshine a year and the very fine mud and sands of the Mar Menor are thought to have therapeutic properties for arthritis, easing rheumatic pain and healing of skin conditions.

Cabo de Palos is an old fishing village just 10 minutes by car from La Manga Club and is famous for its fresh fish restaurants situated around the harbour. The best tables are on the promenade overlooking the harbour entrance. It is also well known for its popular Sunday market and ceramic shops.

The night life can often be action packed especially from Friday to Sunday and from June to September and is only 5 minutes away on foot.

The apartment is in a quiet and select area of Cabo de Palos and is within easy walking distance of shops, the Calblanque National Park and the unspoiled beach at Cala Reona which is perfect for scuba-diving and fishing.
